Cleaning

Injectors should be cleaned every 20k miles with a suitable cleaner, ideally catalyst based rather than solvent based. Mazda offer their own cleaner, others are Techron (USA) and Redline SI-1 / SI-2. Solvent based cleaners such as STP fuel injection cleaner are less effective.

Techron & Redline SI-1 & SI-2 also assist in removing carbon build up from the combustion chamber (of particular interest to 93/94 V6 cars).
