figured out, that there are some IGBTs especially made for Automotive Ignition applications. I orded one today, its the IRGB14C40L from INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, there are many others that will might fit, but this one was best available for me, i ordered it from farnell. But one thing must taken attention off when finding a suitable IBGT. Pinout and that they have a low gate drive voltage, ok thats 2 things. Usually IGBTs pinout is Gate, Source, Drain or Gate, Collector, Emmitter. The one used in our Ignition Module has Pinout: Gate, Drain, Source. (all from left to right, looked from above, pins facing to you) Also the point the screw is, its also Drain. The IRGB14C40L i ordered has excact same pinout as the original IGBT. I hope it will work... I will report here when i tried it. I think if it works, it will save many people much money, cause a new ICM is about 200€ and the transistor only 4€... I spent hole weekend for research, if it dont work... oh my god ... I have retrofitted a stock disty with a VB921, works great. FYI, it isn't always the ignitor that goes. I've seen the coil die as well...not as common as the POS igniter though. shaodome
